The Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance has launched a new website.
The site, www.greaterfortdodge.com, went live Wednesday.
''The website will provide a better way to communicate with our members, residents, industry and retail prospects and work force,'' said Dennis Plautz, the alliance's chief executive officer. ''We look forward to the continual evolution of the website to be the go-to source for information.''
Plautz said having a website is essential because professional site selectors who help businesses find new locations start their work with the Internet.
He added that the site will also provide information for people who aren't professional site selectors.
''It's clearly a networking opportunity between area residents, area businesses and anyone outside of Fort Dodge,'' Plautz said.
The site provides information on the alliance and the community.
Features of the website include:
Listings of available property;
Event registration and payment options;
A place where job seekers can post their resumes;
Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube links.
