This year’s annual Valentine’s Day Bingo put on by the Callender Area Revitalization Effort filled the community center to capacity Sunday afternoon. Leroy Schwendemann, left, Tom Pliner, and Pliner’s grandsons Memphis Simpson and Colby Russell were all excited while listening for the next number, and even Lucas Chalstrom, 5 months, had a Bingo card handled by his mom Laura Chalstrom. CARE raised funds over the last two years to put a basketball court in the city park, and hopes to continue work this year by adding some park benches. The building was filled to capacity as guests competed for prize baskets donated by area businesses.
