To the editor:
We understand that the city and the schools need money to operate, but where does it end? Those of us on fixed incomes are having a hard enough time as it is keeping up our property without having the double whammy news we received this week. Come on - put a clamp on it. By the way, we pay taxes over $900 a year and would love to have someone offer us $85,000 for our one-story bungalow.
