Webster County Sheriff's deputy Tony Walter and his K9 Cayd returns to CSBank. The Sheriff's department and Fort Dodge Police searched with the dog through the Garden Village Apartments area, where a witness had seen the suspect run off on foot, Walter said.
Though the suspect has not yet been found, Carmody said nobody was injured.
Police are also investigating to see if the robbery is connected to a threat that was called in to Feelhaver Elementary School about 15 minutes before the robbery. The threat forced the school to go into modified lockout mode for about an hour.
Carmody said there is no threat to the students at Feelhaver or any other schools in Fort Dodge.
The Webster County Sheriff's Department and their K9, Cayd, were also on scene to look for the suspect. Carmody said the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and the FBI are also working on the case.
Anybody with information on the bank robbery is asked to call the Fort Dodge Police Department at 573-1426.
