Christine Brock-Henning, 57, died unexpectedly of natural causes early Sunday morning, February 3, 2013 at Pheasant Ridge residential care facility in Toledo, Iowa. A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation with the family present will be held from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery in Gilmore City, Iowa. Christine was born on April, 22 1955 in Fort Dodge, IA. She grew up and attended school in the Gilmore City, IA area. She was married and had two sons, Tyler and Aaron Brock, that grew up in Storm Lake, IA. She later remarried, moved to Florida and had another son, Austin.
In her earlier years, she was a licensed LPN and enjoyed jogging, swimming, tennis, singing and playing guitar.
She will always be remembered for her devotion to her sons and for her love of simple things like chapstick, crayons, Dove chocolates and diet Dr. Pepper.
Survivors include three sons, Tyler Brock and his wife, Amy, of Sioux City; Aaron Brock and his wife, Kelly, of Tusin, CA and Austin Henning of Coral Gables, FL.; five grandchildren, Carter, Aiden, Noah, Cameron, and Bayla Brock; four sisters, Rosemary Hake and her husband, Richard, of Ankeny, IA, Joan Wiuff and her husband, Albert, of Waterloo, IA, Patricia Fevold and her husband, Larry, of Shell Knob, MO, and Kathryn Tulk and her husband, Glenn, of West Palm Beach, FL; and four brothers, Donald J Loftus of San Diego, CA, Jim Loftus and his wife, Patricia, of Colorado Springs, CO, Steve Loftus of Ankeny, IA, and Brian Loftus and his wife, Julie, of Blaine, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Vivian (Dodd) Loftus and two brothers, Michael and Thomas.
