The Fort Dodge City Council will review an upcoming street project and continue working on the proposed budget for 2013-2014 when it meets Monday.

The council will meet at 5 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 819 First Ave. S.

The elected officials will consider plans for the reconstruction of First Avenue North between Third and Seventh streets. The project, estimated to cost $1.8 million, will include total pavement reconstruction, sidewalk replacement and installation of new water mains, sanitary sewers and storm drains. Construction is slated to start in April and be completed by the end of October.

Also the council will review the proposed budgets for the Karl King Band, Dodger Area Rapid Transit, the Fort Dodge Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Blanden Memorial Art Museum, the Fort Dodge Public Library, the city's central garage and the Sanitation Division of the Public Works Department.
