Orness sparks

'Cats to ninth straight

HUMBOLDT - The Humboldt boys earned their ninth straight victory Tuesday night, downing Bishop Garrigan, 64-55.

Michael Orness scored 22, while Bryan Larson added 19 for the Wildcats (10-2 overall, 9-2 in NCC), who outscored Bishop Garrigan 21-13 in the fourth quarter.

Nathan Krieps led the Golden Bears (9-6, 7-5) with 21.

POCAHONTAS - South Central Calhoun picked up a 58-43 victory over Pocahontas Area on Tuesday night.

Nathan Christensen led the Titans with 20 points. Jake Petzenhauser added 17.

Aaron Aljets paced the Indians with 15 points and Aaron Youngberg added 14.

GOWRIE - Reed Tellinghuisen scorched the nets for a career-high 51 points, lifting the East Sac County boys to a comvincing 89-68 road victory over Prairie Valley Tuesday night.

Tellinghuisen drained eight triples in the game for the Raiders (10-4 overall).

Carter Niehaus also tallied 12 points for ESC.

For the Warriors (1-11), Cole Black (29) and Conner Conrad (20) were the top offensive performers.

OGDEN - The East Sac County boys edged Ogden by a 48-45 final on Saturday.

Reed Tellinghuisen powered the Raiders (9-4 overall) again with 16 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks.

Justin Kraft also contributed 11 points, four rebounds and four assists for ESC.

For the Bulldogs (7-6), Cody Good (15) and Cayce Good (11) each scored in double figures.
