Both the Fort Dodge boys and girls bowling teams impressed Thursday night with convincing home victories over Des Moines Hoover at Ridgewood Lanes.

The Dodger boys downed the Huskies by a 2,947-2,209 final.

Alex Markov (236-220-456) and Chase Messerly (227-227-454) led the way for the FDSH boys.

On the girls side, the Dodgers prevailed, 2,611-1,977.

Ciara Sturm (178-241-419) and Shelby Jacobson (183-179-362) were the top performers for Fort Dodge.

"We had a happy bunch of kids," said FDSH head coach Don Ervin. "We just looked great (yesterday). We've been working hard all season, but we just need to get a little more consistent."
