The Fort Dodge Fire Department responded to a house fire shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday at 223 L St. One person was transported to Trinity Regional Medical Center, with unspecified injuries.
Flames could be seen shooting out of the home as the fire crews crossed the Kenyon Road bridge, said Fire Capt. Paul Neeson. The flames were contained in about 15 minutes.
The structure is significantly damaged throughout, Neeson said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
