First Presbyterian Church, 1111 Fifth Ave. N., will have three worship services on Christmas Eve.
The 4 p.m. service will be in the Christian Life Center at the south end of the church, with emphasis on children and families. The Rev. Nancy Devries, interim pastor, will relate the story of "Why the Chimes Rang."
At 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary, there will be a candlelight service with a "Lessons and Carols" presentation. The chancel choir will participate, directed by Joanne Lee. Claudia Lyons will play "Jesu Bambino" on the violin.
At 10 p.m. in the sanctuary, the Rev. Austin Hill will lead the worship service. This service will have acoustic guitar, piano and a vocal ensemble. There will be a multimedia experience, "God with us," exploring the power of Christ's presence.
