Rosemary Johnson, 82, of Fort Dodge, died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.
A service honoring Rosemary's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at First Baptist Church with the Rev. James Laupp officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Rosemary is survived by her children, Deb (Scottie) Gaskill, Colorado; Rick (Deanne) Johnson, Iowa; Jeff Johnson, California; Jennifer (Mark) Pierce, Tennessee; grandchildren, Noah Sheker, Sarah Sheker, Dustin Johnson, Amy Logue, Kegan Pierce and Connor Pierce; and her great-grandchildren, Ivy Wentz, Noah Wentz, Kaylin Drew and Brendan Drew. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Carl in 1997.
Rosemary Lawrence, the daughter of Emanuel and Daisy Dorothy (Forsythe) Lawrence, was born September 4, 1930 in Des Moines, Iowa. She lived for some time in California. On September 10, 1950, Rosemary was united in marriage to Carl C. (Ole) Johnson in Albia, Iowa. The couple lived in Des Moines until moving to Fort Dodge in 1961. Rosemary was a homemaker.
Rosemary was an avid reader and frequent visitor to the library. She enjoyed gardening and corresponded with many pen pals on the subject of gardening. Rosemary truly lived and breathed for her family and treasured time spent with them.
