The second installment of The Predicament's prep wrestling individual and tournament team rankings of the 2012-13 season were released on Thursday.
A total of 25 local and area wrestlers now hold down spots in the rankings. St. Edmond is the lone rated team, checking in at No. 9 in Class 1A.
Fort Dodge's Duke Egli (No. 3 at 170), Riley Prescott (No. 7 at 195) and Kyle Johnson (No. 10 at 220) each made the Top-10 in 3A. Egli and Prescott both punched state tickets a year ago.
Defending state qualifiers Kaden McClintock (No. 5 at 113), Teddie Harvey (No. 4 at 152) and Vinnie Harvey (No. 1 at 220) are all still ranked as well for the Gaels. Harvey moved into the top spot after being No. 5 in the preseason.
Other rated 1A individuals include Manson Northwest Webster's reigning state runner-up Payton Rice (No. 2 at 138), Prairie Valley's Matt Streit (No. 6 at 195), Pocahontas Area's David Olson (No. 6 at 160), Clarion-Goldfield's Joel Haberman (No. 9 at 126), Jake Haberman (No. 7 at 160) and Mitch Gambrill (No. 2 at 220) and Emmetsburg's Brady Bailey (No. 3 at 152), Nick Schany (No. 4 at 170), Andrew Wellik (No. 1 at 182), Austin McCartan (No. 4 at 195) and Taylor Wegner (No. 8 at 220).
In 2A, Humboldt was represented by Nikko Wheeler (No. 9 at 182), Reed Dreyer (No. 2 at 195) and Dylan Hendricks (No. 9 at 285), while Chase Goodman (No. 8 at 126) and Aron King (No. 7 at 285) are back in the polls for South Central Calhoun.
Webster City's Dylan Fielder (No. 2 at 182) and Landon Johnson (No. 10 at 285), along with Algona's Joe Teague (No. 10 at 170) are all rated in 3A.
