Patricia L. Osborn, 73, of Fort Dodge, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the Tompkins Memorial Health Center.

The service honoring Patricia's life will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 17, at First Congregational United Church of Christ with the Rev. Joseph Feldmann officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. The visitation is Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family.

Patricia is survived by her children, Jeff (Silvia) Karstens, San Diego, CA; Merlyn Thomas 'George' (Julie) Karstens, Fort Dodge; Kelly (Tim) Wagner, Fort Dodge; Ricki (Jim) Stubbs, Clare; step-son Barry Osborn, Des Moines; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jamie, Jordan and Alex Karstens, Josh, Brown, Jacob Brown and Jerald Wagner, and J.R. Stubbs; step-grandchildren, Anthony Ayala, Jacob Meyer and Tyler Stubbs; one great-granddaughter Aidriana Brown; and four step-great-grandchildren, Sharisse and Antonio Ayala, Natalie Anderson and Alice Stubbs; her siblings, LaRue Hanselman, LaVonne (Richard) Ehrhardt, Linda (Russ) Williams, Margaret (John) Price and Thomas (Shelly) Burns; her sisters-in-law, Bette Diersen and Pat (Tom) Salvatore; and her brother-in-law Larry (Joy) Osborn. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her parents, Wayne and Helga (Winniberg) Burns, and her brother Merlyn Burns.

Patricia was born on July 12, 1939. She received her education and attended Iowa Central Community College. In 1971, Patricia was united in marriage to Richard Osborn in Pocahontas. She worked for Western Auto in Pocahontas for five years and then from 1972 to 2002 was employed with K-Mart in Fort Dodge where she was an assistant manager until her retirement.

Patricia enjoyed music concerts and shows in Branson. She cared for her elderly parents and served as a volunteer at Fort Dodge Villa Care Center. Patricia treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
