A letter to say ‘thank you’

To the editor:

It is now over a week since Thanksgiving and I had not yet observed any public "thank you" to the generous folks who put on the free Thanksgiving meals and the volunteers that help to make these dinners succeed. I know that the Fort Dodge Ford Toyota dealership and The Salvation Army provided meals, and there were probably others that could be recognized as well. Here's a big "thank you" to the folks who planned, financed, donated, prepared, set up, served, delivered meals, tore down, and cleaned up and shared their day with so many. You are all hometown heroes in your own way.
