The Iowa Central women's basketball team pushed all the right buttons Monday night, cruising to a 102-31 victory over AIB JV inside Hodges Fieldhouse.
The 13th-ranked (NJCAA Div. II) Tritons (5-2 overall) jumped out to a 50-17 lead at the half and were never seriously challenged.
"It was just one of them games where (the Eagles) were kind of overmatched and didn't have much depth," said ICCC head coach Craig Carlson. "It was a good chance for us to play everyone. It's been a long time since we've hung 100 on anybody, which is always fun. I was real pleased with how hard we worked."
Katie Dentlinger paced Iowa Central with a game-high 20 points.
Jasmine Binion (12), Miliakere Koyamainavure (11) and Babaye Oja (10) each scored in double digits as well for the Tritons. Rebecca Easton added 10 rebounds, while St. Edmond graduate Theresa Doyle collected five assists.
Iowa Central's 102 points tied for the eighth most single-game total in program history. The Tritons have now scored at least 100 points on 13 occasions.
