Humboldt falls short

CLEAR LAKE - The Humboldt boys suffered a 50-46 North Central Conference setback to Clear Lake on Friday.

Jaxon Heinz finished with 20 points for the Wildcats (1-1 overall, 0-1 NCC), while Bryan Larson chipped in 13 points.

Davis Dieken (22) and Gavin Sheakley (12) were the top offensive performers for the Lions (1-1, 1-1).

Lynx upended by IF-A

IOWA FALLS - The Webster City boys were downed by Iowa Falls-Alden in a 61-41 decision on Friday.

Boone Myers sparked the Lynx (0-2 overall, 0-1 North Central Conference) with 14 points.

Casey Schlatter poured in a game-high 24 points for the Cadets (2-0, 2-0), who pulled away with a 17-0 run in the second half.

Indians earn OT win

ROCKWELL CITY - The Pocahontas Area boys survived with a 61-57 overtime triumph over South Central Calhoun on Friday.

Aaron Youngberg delivered a game-high 27 points for the Indians (1-1 overall), while Jay Brinkman added 10 points.

Nathan Christensen (17) and Jake Petzenhauser (12) each scored in double figures for the Titans (1-1).

SAC CITY - The East Sac County boys earned a convincing 74-55 victory over Prairie Valley Friday night.

Reed Tellinghuisen netted a game-high 21 points for the Raiders (2-0 overall).

Shawn Freier (13) and Tyler Jacobson (12) were the other top offensive performers for ESC.

For the Warriors (0-2), Jordan Samuelson tallied 17 points, while Austin Wood chipped in 11.

Brody Eischeid contributed a game-high 20 points for the Cougars (2-1 overall), while Josh Markert added eight points.

Cade King finished with seven points for the Eagles (0-2).

Chazz Brown finished with 10 points for the Mavericks (0-2).

ALGONA - Behind a career-high 34 points from Nathan Krieps, the Bishop Garrigan boys doubled up Eagle Grove by a 78-39 count on Friday.

Krieps also notched seven steals and five assists, while John Burns delivered 22 points for the Golden Bears (2-1 overall, 1-1 North Central Conference).

Zach Ploeger tallied 13 points for the Eagles (0-3, 0-2).
