CLARION - The St. Edmond girls had no trouble staying unbeaten Friday night, posting a decisive 61-38 North Central Conference road victory over Clarion-Goldfield.

After leading by just a single bucket entering the second quarter, the Gaels (3-0 overall, 3-0 NCC) outscored the Cowgirls 45-24 the rest of the way.

"We played a pretty solid game throughout," said SEHS head coach Scott Messerly. "This was a good road win against a pretty tough team."

Jaci Stumpf, a Gael sophomore point guard, went 10 of 11 from the field for a career-high 20 points to go along with four steals.

"Jaci was doing a little bit of everything out (on the floor)," Messerly said. "She had an almost flawless performance."

Junior Alli Huss (17 points, 10 rebounds) and senior Hannah Lentsch (10 points, 10 boards) each turned in double-doubles as well for St. Edmond, while sophomore Anna Yung added nine points, six assists and two steals.
