Marguerite May Troutwine, 86, of Fort Dodge, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the Humboldt Care Center North in Humboldt. A private family burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Dodge. The Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements.
Marguerite is survived by her four children, Sheila Beck of Webster City, IA, Tim (Linda) Troutwine of Otho, IA, Marlene Bass of Troy, MO, and Cheryl (Doug) Teeple of Clarksville, IA: nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, William; her parents; a sister, Mabel Boasman, and her son-in-law, Clifford Bass on November 11, 2012.
Marguerite May Fairchild, the daughter of Glen and Grace (Ericson) Fairchild was born June 25, 1926, in Boone County, Iowa and graduated from Boone High School in June of 1943. Marguerite worked as a waitress in Boone and during the World War II worked at an ammunition factory. On October 26, 1946, she married William Troutwine and in 1947 they moved to Otho. William died on December 4, 1979 and in 1980, she moved to Fort Dodge. Marguerite worked at Randall Foods Store in the bakery for some 20 years. The last few months Marguerite was a resided of the Humboldt Care Center North in Humboldt.
