At approximately 10:12 p.m. Wednesday, officers with the Fort Dodge Police Department responded to Marco's Pizza, 1513 Second Ave. N., to investigate the armed robbery of a delivery driver.

Upon arrival, officers learned that Billy Miller, 30, of Fort Dodge was attempting to deliver a large order of pizzas in the area of 12th Avenue South and South 17th Street at approximately 9:50 p.m., when he was approached by a male suspect. The suspect indicated the order belonged to him. Miller was in the process of retrieving the order from his car when the suspect produced a knife. The suspect pointed the knife toward Miller, demanded that he abandon the pizzas and leave the area. Miller returned to the restaurant and contacted law enforcement.

The suspect was described as a 40- to 50-year-old white male with dark complexion, between 5 feet, 6 inches and 6feet tall, of slender build and wearing a hooded sweatshirt. The suspect was described as having a raspy voice and not being well groomed.

Officers continue to investigate this case. Anyone who may have information on this case is encouraged to call the Fort Dodge Police Department at 573-1426 or contact Webster County Crime Stoppers at 573-1444 (STOP), online at www.wccrimestoppers.com or by texting "LEC" and the tip to CRIMES (274637).
