TOLEDO, Ohio - The ninth-ranked Iowa Central volleyball team finished seventh at the NJCAA Div. II National Tournament this weekend.
Fredrick Wagner's No. 4 seed Tritons (36-12 overall) downed 10th-seeded Kishwaukee (31-16) in four games Saturday by scores of 25-13, 23-25, 25-23 and 25-21.
This is the second straight year that the Tritons have qualified for nationals, finishing 11th last fall. Iowa Central, which compiled an 80-18 combined mark over the past two seasons, also advanced to nationals in 1987 and 2006.
