TOLEDO, Ohio - The Iowa Central volleyball team suffered a five-set defeat at the NJCAA Div. II National Tournament Friday.
The fourth-seeded Tritons were defeated by No. 9 Kansas City-Kansas.
Scores were 20-25, 25-17, 25-22, 20-25, 15-13.
Ninth-ranked Iowa Central (35-12 overall) will face No. 20 Kishwaukee (31-15) for seventh place on Court 2 at noon today.
This is the second straight year that the Tritons have qualified for nationals, placing 11th. Iowa Central also advanced to nationals in 1987 and 2006.
