SIOUX CITY - Five Iowa Central men's swimmers combined for eight individual victories and the Tritons swept both relays at the Morningside Mustang Stampede on Saturday.
Goran Koprivnjak won three events - the 100-yard butterfly (51.91 seconds), 200 butterfly (1:53.76) and 500 freestyle (4:54.51).
The Tritons, finished second in the team race to Gustavus Adolphus by a score of 833-806.
Also posting wins for Iowa Central were Obi Obemebe in the 200 backstroke (2:02.56) and 400 individual medley (4:29.63); Pierre-Olivier Dionne in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.76).
Doug Miller won the 200 breaststoke (2:21.48); and Kyle Thomas in the 50 free (22.47).
The team of Obembe, Koprivnjak, Miller and Thomas won the 200 medley relay in 1:40.54, and the same quartet took the 200 free relay in 1:28.36.
Tatiane Pacheco was the sole victor for the Triton women, taking the 200 freestyle in 2:03.80.
The Triton women placed fifth out of six teams competing.
The Tritons next travel to the University of Chicago Phoenix Fall Invitational on Friday.
