Clark Fletcher came out on top in the race for Webster County Supervisor in District 5.
Fletcher, a Republican from Fort Dodge, received 1,531 votes, or 52.72 percent.
He was challenged by Democrat Breck Johnson.
Fletcher campaigned on a promise to offer a common-sense approach to understanding the issues.
"After two years, you are just starting to really get the hang of things," said Fletcher, who is the current District 4 supervisor. "I look forward to continuing work on the many projects we have underway."
Johnson, received 1,366 votes or 47.04 percent.
I want to thank all of my supporters," said Johnson. "I wish Clark good luck in his second term. He is a good man and a good supervisor."
Fletcher has held the seat in District 4 since 2010. Fletcher's territory was moved into District 5 following the realignment of District 4. District 5 consists of Douglas, Johnson and Deer Creek-Jackson townships and Precincts 4 and 5 in the city of Fort Dodge.
