To the editor:
We recently hosted a Celebrate the Street party with our neighbors and invited the City Council and Mayor Bemrich. Chuck Reetz smoked the meat and everyone brought a dish to share. It was a joyous occasion, as we enjoyed a wonderful meal and time of fellowship with everyone. Only two council members had to be out of town, but both expressed their thanks for being included. Don Wilson is our ward representative and has been promoting our street for some time. We would especially like to thank him for his perseverance. Our street had not been touched in 57 years and is now like driving on a cloud.
So often we see the negative things in the paper about our city and we would like to say how appreciative we are with this step in making Fort Dodge more beautiful. Everytime we see a new street we are thankful.
We would like to thank the City Council and Mayor Bemrich for supporting new streets in Fort Dodge.
