To the editor:
After moving across the state for her own political gain and running for office for nearly 2 years, Christie Vilsack still doesn't have a plan to get America working. I've watched the debates and all I have seen is Vilsack ducking questions, stumbling through answers trying not to give any specifics and attack. That's not how we act in Iowa.
Meanwhile, Rep. Steve King has offered a clear vision in his campaign and during the debates. He has a simple plan to get America working: Repeal ObamaCare (Ernst and Young estimates it will cost Americans 710,000 jobs), balance our budget giving business stability, harness and harvest American energy creating thousands of jobs and providing a stable, low tax rate on business giving them the predictability needed to increase the size of their work force.
I've heard a lot of lies and misinformation this campaign season, but Christie Vilsack may take the cake for her petty personal attacks that aren't based in fact. Iowans deserve better than that and they certainly deserve straight answers, not a candidate who ducks the questions asked of her. Vote for Steve King on Tuesday.
