To the editor:
Chief Deputy Jim Stubbs has been in law enforcement for 30 years, 24 serving in the Webster County sheriff's office. He has worked his way up faithfully and dutifully through the ranks in the Sheriff's Department and currently serves second in command to Sheriff Brian Mickelson.
He works closely with Sheriff Mickelson on those issues that will be invaluable to a new sheriff, giving him a great advantage over other candidates. He has received numerous awards and recognitions from various law enforcement agencies who recognize his abilities.
We know Jim through our church where he has served on many boards, using his expertise to chair many committees and projects. His professional demeanor, quiet but direct approach to problems and crises and his commitment to our community, makes him the perfect candidate for the position of Webster County sheriff.
