To the editor:
As the time has come to go to the polls, there are many things we need to know. Not so much the committees a candidate has served on, or even the elbows that they rub, but the person themselves and how understanding and motivated they are is an important factor in how they will perform an elected job.
I have know Breck Johnson and his family for the past six or seven years now and have been able to spend time fishing and visiting with him. We have talked about everything from the day's catch, how the world's problems should be solved to more importantly how veterans are treated. I am a Vietnam War veteran. This is an important issue for me. He also understands these needs as his grandfather was a World War II veteran and his father is a Vietnam era veteran.
I also have grandkids my wife Ann and I worry about all the time. So I am pleased to see the Youth Empowerment Project for this community has been steadily progressing. It is a well worth issue that we have contributed to the cause.
Breck is a very attentive and compassionate person who will listen to the needs that face him. He is a person I can say would welcome your call whether it is help you with your needs or if you just want to talk fishing. He is the most honest man I have ever met and one that you can count on. I urge you to vote for Breck Johnson for supervisor in District 5.
