To the editor:
As a longtime friend of supervisor candidate Breck Johnson, I want to express my reasons for believing he would make a great county supervisor.
You see, I am an aspiring artist, struggling to attain work in my craft, I was working at Pizza Hut when I met Breck and his family.
As an artist, I am a wood burner (pyrography), photographer, graphics artist designer. With passion, I am an animal rights activist.
Through Webster County Artists, I have had several opportunities to show my work, as well as donate pieces for Helen Miller's Artful Dodger projects.
Breck is a man of his word, and believes in giving people an opportunity to shine in this community, who would not normally get the chance. Breck did everything he could to make sure I could get my artwork where it needed to be and on time. He waited for me outside on a bitterly cold December evening to help me unload a heavy wood panel I had wood burned.
We have had long discussions over family dinners and other events about what is best for Webster County and its communities, and how it has changed over the last few years. His views are of a true desire to want to see positive changes for the county we both care for. He is someone who will truly do everything in his power to fight for what he believes in, and I trust this county in his hands. I am positive that if everyone knew Breck the way I do, you would know he is the right man for this position.
I urge you to vote for Breck Johnson Nov. 6.
