Miller — 80 years

D. Richard Miller, of Goshen, Ind., and formerly of Fort Dodge, will celebrate his 80th birthday on Monday.

His family includes wife Patricia; Daniel and Nadine Miller, and Philip Miller and Jean Krabill Miller, all of Goshen, Ind.; David and Lori Miller, Wichita, Kan.; Christine Miller, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Melinda Darling Williams and Jimmy Williams, Pilot Mountain, N.C.; and Michele Darling and Terry Golob, Brooklyn, N.Y. He has four grandchildren.
Miller and his first wife, Marilyn, lived in Fort Dodge for 41 years. He was pastor of Evangelical Mennonite Church for nine years and worked for Children and Families of Iowa for 26 years, retiring in 1997. Marilyn Miller died in 2003. He married Patricia Darling in June of this year.
Miller received the Service to Mankind awards from Sertoma Sundowners, Fort Dodge, and Sertoma West Iowa District in 2003.
