‘May God’s name be honored ... ’

To the editor:

The Bible says in II Chronicles 7:14 "If my people who are called by my name shall humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

A quote from Billy Graham: "Nothing could be more urgent than for God's people to come together and pray for our nation and our world. Our only hope is to turn to the Lord Jesus Christ in repentance and faith and to seek to obey him in every area of our lives, as individuals and also as a nation."

It is time for America to turn back to God. As the Pledge of Allegiance says "One nation under God," we are to honor God as the head of our country. We need to vote men and women into office who honor God's word and his standards.

Genesis 12:3 says that God will bless those who bless Israel, but will curse those who do not support Israel. To not to do so, God said he will curse that nation. May it not be so for our beloved country - the United States of America.

A quote from Abraham Lincoln: "It is the duty of nations as well as of men to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God."

May God's name be honored in our homes, in our communities, in our state and in our nation.
