JOLLEY - Norma Jean Ellis 80, of Jolley passed away Friday, October 12, 2012 at Shady Oaks Care Center in Lake City. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Rockwell City, with Pastor James Hoover Mossman officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Jolley. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City.

Norma Jean is survived by her children, Steven (Sue) Ellis of Storm Lake, Morrison Eddy (Linda) Ellis of Rockwell City, and Becky (Dave) Haberl of Jolley; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and brother Dwane (Eileen) Junkman of Manson. She was preceded in death by Husband Morison Junior Ellis; her parents, Louis and Reka Gerdes Junkman; and sister Delores Gerth.

Norma Jean Junkman Ellis was born June 7, 1932 in Pocahontas County, Iowa.

She attended public schools in Fonda. On October 3, 1948 Norma Jean was united in marriage to Morison Junior Ellis. The couple made their home on the family farm near Jolley, where she was a homemaker for most of her life.They also wintered in Texas for many years. Junior passed away September 30, of this year. Norma Jean was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and Ladies Aide. She enjoyed puzzles, bingo, crocheting, and baking.
