LANYON - NEW Cooperative has recently purchased land to the west of Lanyon in southern Webster County.

This land is home to NEW Cooperative's newest agronomy location, which will serve the growing customer base in the Lanyon area.

The Lanyon location is beginning operations this fall with the completed installation of 120 tons of anhydrous ammonia storage and a new fleet of equipment to service these products.

This includes a new custom ammonia application unit which will be housed in Lohrville for the area's agronomy customers. In addition, the new location includes a 40 by 60 square foot seed and chemical warehouse.

Two full-time employees are positioned at the Lanyon location to oversee its operations. Both a location manager and agronomy sales specialist are available and welcome customers in the renovated office.

This addition is a strong example of NEW Cooperative's commitment to providing for the increasing needs of its customers.

Dan Dix, agronomy department manager, said "With the addition of the Lanyon facility, NEW Cooperative will be better located to serve the growing customer base in the southern Webster County area and provide the local producer with the services they require. As the business continues to grow, additional assets will be added."

NEW Cooperative has added more than $17 million of capital additions and improvements in the past year to its locations and facilities.
