The Messenger is publishing a special section during Breast Cancer Awareness Month that will include stories from survivors and preventative tips.
Survivors who want to share their story are asked to send a photo, along with some basic information by Friday, in one of three ways: log on to www.messengernews.net and click the Breast Cancer Survivor Stories link, email the information to charlenep@messengernews.net or mail to The Messenger, c/o In the Pink, 713 Central Ave., Fort Dodge, IA 50501.
Stories will include survivor's name, occupation, who is in their family, the year of the cancer diagnosis, number of years as a survivor, hobbies, source or sources of inspiration and how the experience has been life-changing. Survivors are also asked to include a photo and contact information.
The In the Pink section will be published on Oct. 21.
