Ruth L. Yetmar, 88, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Tompkins Memorial Health Center.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 19th at 10:30 a.m. at the Celebration Center at Friendship Haven. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Celebration Center.
Survivors include her sister-in-laws, Verna Zierke of Rochester, MN; and Marian Zierke of Somers; brother-in-laws, Gene and Melvin Yetmar both of Fort Dodge; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elizabeth (Gross) Zierke; an infant sister, Evelyn Zierke; brothers, Virgil, Orville, and Paul Zierke; and a nephew, Gary Zierke.
Ruth Luella Zierke was born on February 4, 1924 on a farm near Knierim. She attended schools and graduated from Somers High School in 1941. On October 10, 1951 she was united in marriage to Donald Yetmar and the couple made their home on a farm near Clare. They later moved to a farm near Barnum. Ruth was employed with Hormel's for over 24 years retiring in 1974, and also farmed with her husband until he passed away in 1987. She was a member of the Garden Club and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Ruth enjoyed gardening, farming, and tending to her pets.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
