MARSHALLTOWN - The Fort Dodge boys golf team competed at the Marshalltown Invitational on Friday at Elmwood Country Club.
The Dodgers placed eighth out of nine squads, carding a 348. Ottumwa (306) and Ankeny (308) were first and second.
Nate Sunken tied for eighth individually (40-38-78) to lead the way for FDSH. Eric Puls (44-44-88), Austin Sorenson (45-44-89), Thomas Hartley (45-48-93) and Alex Hage (50-48-98) rounded out the Dodger lineup.
"I thought Nate played really well," said Fort Dodge head coach Tommy Thompson. "His 78 was a very good score playing against a pretty tough field."
Des Moines Roosevelt's Aaron Wirt (72) finished as medalist, while Ankeny's Andrew Huseman (73) settled for runner-up honors.
Next action for the Dodgers is Thursday at Waukee.
