DES MOINES -?The Iowa Central volleyball squad swept through the Grand View and William Penn junior varsity squads on Monday.
The Tritons (9-7 overall)?beat Grand View's JV, 28-26, 25-17 and 25-19.
Alicia Moreno finished with 11 kills and six kills in the victory. Brittany Vaske (Algona)?added seven kills, while Marilyn Gutierrez chipped in eight digs and three ace serves.
Iowa Central then swept William?Penn, 25-19, 25-13 and 25-12. Moreno tallied 10 kills and 12 digs, while Nadia Morneau finished with nine kills.
Shelby Schindler (Algona)?contributed seven kills in the win.
The Tritons head to East Peoria, Ill. this coming Friday and Saturday for a tournament.
