To the editor:
The Lizard Creek Blues Society would like to thank all the great blues fans who stuck it out on a rainy day to enjoy another great blues show. We were glad to share some rain with the farmers who needed it. For many dedicated souls, getting soaked was worth it, and for that we are grateful. Many thanks also to the fine sponsors who helped us financially. Your efforts are rewarded with happy faces and dancing feet and another great show on Nov. 30. Magic Slim and the Teardrops will be our guests at the Starlite that Friday evening.
Our goal is always to promote and preserve an American original, the blues. If we can make it from show to show with enough resources to bring in the wonderful musicians who make up the blues world, we are beyond successful. Thanks to the various grants and commercial support, volunteers and members, we just enjoyed our 11th Blues Under the Trees event. This fall and winter look good for more blues to hit Fort Dodge in style. Thanks to you all for your continued support. Our members are our lifeblood and our volunteers and sponsors make it possible for great blues all year long. Thanks for supporting an American original, the blues.
