Jacob Otto Drummond, 33, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Thursday August 23, 2012 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lighthouse Ministries Church, 1333 4th Ave. North in Fort Dodge, with Pastor John Elkin officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home, with a Masonic service at 6:00 p.m.

Jacob is survived by his parents Tom & Jane Parks of Fort Dodge; and Kenneth Drummond of Otho; brothers, Dylan (JaNelle) Drummond of Fort Dodge; Jeremy (Michelle) Parks of Boone; Andrew "Vern" (Marissa) Parks of Moorland; Thomas "Trey" Parks; Jesse (Bonnie) Parks of Iowa City; sisters, Margaret Drummond of Florida and Jayme (Billy) Peters of Fort Dodge; as well as, many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Jacob Otto Earl Drummond was born September 7, 1978 in Fort Dodge. He attended schools in Fort Dodge and graduated from the Fort Dodge Senior High. Following his education he enlisted into the National Guard for two years. Jacob worked for various employers in Fort Dodge including: Wal-Mart, which was his latest. Jacob was a member of the Masons. He enjoyed movies with friends and spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He was very proud of his collection of antique medieval weapons. At the time of his passing Jacob was beginning to go back to school to begin a teaching career.
