GILMORE CITY - Funeral mass for Viola Dawson, 95, of Gilmore City will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church in Gilmore City. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Harris Funeral Home in Gilmore City, with a rosary and prayer vigil at 7:30 p.m. Survivors include Viola's children: Linda Olesen (John Kerns) of Lake City, IA, Vern (Maria) Dawson of Georgetown, TX, Larry (Susan) Dawson of Des Moines, IA, Bill (Mary) Dawson of Gilmore City, Tom (Nancy) Dawson of Gilmore City, Bob (Thim) Dawson of Glendale, AZ, Virginia (Don) Jerde of Ham Lake, MN, and Shiela Smith (Ron Larsen) of Otho, IA; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister Margaret Thomas of Dayton, IA; and sisters-in-law Margaret Schumaker, Delores Dawson and Violet Schoettmer.
