Megan Ridgely has been named wellness coordinator at Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge.
A Wisconsin native, Ridgely is a 2005 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she earned her bachelor's degree in kinesiology with a focus on exercise and fitness. She was an assistant director of aquatics and fitness at Newcastle Place and Eastcastle Place senior living communities in Meqoun, Wis., and Milwaukee, Wis., for seven years. Before joining Friendship Haven this summer, she taught low-impact aerobics classes, aquatic aerobics and yoga classes for older adults in Minnesota.
Ridgely, who is certified as a personal trainer and yoga instructor, has also been certified as an aquatic instructor through the Arthritis Foundation.
