A call about a man being shot with a BB gun has led to three juveniles facing charges in that case as well as being charged with criminal mischief.
The incident happened late Monday night, according to Police Chief Tim Carmody.
Officers responded to a call about a man who was shot with a BB gun in the 500 block of First Avenue North. When they arrived, they found Tayton Green, 24, of Fort Dodge with a minor injury to his right calf. He said he was shot by a BB gun.
Green was able to provide officers with a description of the car the suspects were driving, according to Carmody.
A short time later, Officer Tim Breon pulled over a car matching the description. Breon was later able to find evidence linking the suspects to the crime, and took the three into custody, according to Carmody.
Because the suspects are underage, their names are not being released.
Police questioned the juveniles after notifying their parents, and later learned they had also allegedly shot out the windows of a car in town.
The three were charged with intimidation with a dangerous weapon and criminal mischief. One suspect was taken to the Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center in Eldora, and the other two were released to their parents.
Carmody said as of Tuesday afternoon, four people had contacted the department saying they also had their car windows shot out. He said the department believes more victims are out there.
He asked that anybody who had their windows shot out Monday night to call the Webster County Law Enforcement Center at 573-2323.
