ROCKWELL CITY - Viola V. Walker 90, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012 at the Regency Care Center in Norwalk. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, at the Church of Christ, Rockwell City, with Pastor Owen Englin officiating. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday until service time at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
Viola is survived by her daughters, Nancy Laughlin of Altoona, and Mary Kathryn Hawkins of Boise, ID; 9 grandchildren, Dynette (Shel) Jones, Dawn (Anthony) Sherman, Deanna (Dan) Schultz, Rodney (Mary) Hawkins, Rebecca (Bryan) Deuel, Rachelle (AJ) Hawkins, Ryan Hawkins, Kevin (Shawn) Kleemeier, and Jason (Jessica) Kleemeier; 16 great-grandchildren; and son-in-law Jon Kleemeier of Rockwell City. She was preceded in death by her daughter Karen Kleemeier; grandson Jeremy Kleemeier; her parents, Claude Ray and Visa Mary Francis Petticord; and sister Zola Schoop. Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City is serving the family.
