Kim Burgett, salon and spa services director for La'James International College, accepted the President's Award for School of the Year at the Repechage Annual International Congress for Salon and Spa Professionals in New York City.
More than 300 schools were eligible for the award.
La'James International College has seven locations, including five in Iowa: Fort Dodge, Cedar Falls, Davenport, Iowa City and Des Moines.
LJIC has more than 600 students.
