Bill and Cindy Bush, owners of Garden Winery, received five medals at the Mid American Wine Competition, including the Dr. Dick Peterson Best Iowa Appellation Award, the top medal in the competition.
They also received a gold medal for their Frontenac Rose, silver medals for their Edelweiss and Moonlight Arbor, and a bronze medal for their Petite Amie.
The Bushes opened Garden Winery in 2009 in Gowrie. Garden Winery has a tasting room at 35 S. First St.
