Betty A. Myers, 87 of Fort Dodge passed away Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Marian Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 PM Today, July 26, 2012 at Sacred Heart Church, with Rev. Shane Deman officiating. Burial will follow at a later date. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family.
Betty is survived by her sons, Bill of Davenport, IA; David (Debbie) of Magnolia, AR; Tom (Susan) of Siloam Springs, AR; and John (Peggy) of Clinton, IA; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Elizabeth Ann Butler; husband, Richard F. Myers and brother, James Butler.

Betty Butler was born March 25, 1925. She was raised and educated in Livermore. In 1945, she was united in marriage to Richard Myers after his honorable discharge from military service. The couple then established their home in Fort Dodge, where Betty raised her four sons and provided a loving home. Every summer Betty returned to the family farm in Livermore, where she spent time with family and enjoyed working on the farm. Betty was an excellent cook and loved sharing meals with her family and friends.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
