FONDA - After a sudden illness, Kimberly Kay (Tegels) Ellis passed away at Iowa Methodist Medical Clinic on Friday July 20, 2012.
Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Fonda. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will take place Monday, July 23, 2012 from 4-8:00 p.m. at the church with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
Kim was born August 15, 1960, to Bob and Maude (Meyer) Tegels in Storm Lake, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Fonda where she attended school until eighth grade. Kim graduated from Fonda Community School in 1979 and attended Briar Cliff University. She was united in marriage to Marty Ellis on August 17, 1985.

Kim lived life with her selfless love, faith, and compassion. She was a devoted caregiver to many elderly residents who through her service were able to live independently in their home. She continued her service to the community through her work at the Fonda Care Center until the time of her passing.
Left to cherish Kim's memory is her loving husband of 27 years, Marty Ellis; her children, Jay and Kayla Ellis of Fonda, Iowa; siblings: Renea Seagren and husband Craig of Urbandale, Iowa; Bob Tegels and wife Lisa of Omaha, Nebraska; Luann Arndorfer and husband Larry of Fonda, Iowa; Barry Tegels and wife Denise of Moseley, Virginia; and her many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Bob and Maude Tegels.
