Riding the right arm of ace hurler Amber Logemann, the second-ranked Earlham softball team blanked No. 6 Don Bosco by a 3-0 count in a Class 1A semifinal Thursday at Rogers Park.

Logemann retired the first 16 batters she faced and fired a two-hitter with 15 strikeouts. The Kirkwood recruit actually fanned eight straight Dons at one point between the first and fourth innings

Abbey Murphy, a shortstop and No. 3 hitter, went 2-for-4 to pace the Cardinal offensive charge. Earlham, which is making its third state trip in the past four years, plated single runs in the first, second and sixth frames.
