To the editor:
The "Sundae in the Park" event on June 17 for Kelvin Brown, the son of Ryan and Hope Brown, was a huge success. It was a fun-filled day for everyone; the children played games, had their face painted, and saw a magic show. There were a lot of people that donated baked items for the bake sale which was very popular, in addition to making Dariette sundaes. The event was well attended, and it was great to see the community support the Brown family, especially on Father's Day
Thank you everyone who volunteered to help at the event, and a big thank you to all of the local business that donated products and services. A special thank you goes to the Dariette, Hardees, Farner-Bocken, Party Productions and Larry Dunbar. I would especially like to thank Jason & Denise Kahler, Mary Kay Daniel, Vicky Daniel, Amy Champagne , Nancy Richmond, Lindsey Milligan and Jennifer Peterson for all the preparation and planning.
