LAKE CITY Deloris Morrow, 82, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Lake City Union Church with Rev. Betty Weidert officiating and burial in the Lake City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday with the family present after 5 p.m. at Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City.
Deloris Krause was born July 3, 1930 to August and Lucille (Gilliland) Krause. She was married to Donald Morrow on April 27, 1947 and together they farmed near Auburn. Later they owned and operated the Lake City Cafe. Deloris did an abundant amount of volunteer work in her community. She served as the Stewart Memorial Auxiliary president and volunteered in the Lake City Union Church, where she was a member.
Deloris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved playing cards, baking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Denise (Rick) Menke of Churdan; son, Dan of Lake City; son-in-law, Steve Brend of Wichita, KS; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond (Charlene) Krause of Sioux Rapids, Clifford of Lee Summit, KS, Clarence of Story City; and sisters, Minnie VanAhn and Rachel Geisinger of Lake City, Mabel Vetter of Manson, and Carol (John) Erritt of Somers; brothers and sisters -in-law, Harlan Morrow of Naples, TX, Robert (Phyllis) Morrow, Harold Janssen, Delores Krause all of Lake City and Irva Krause of Fonda. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; daughter, Deborah; brothers, Melford, Harold, and George Krause; and sister, Lena Knight.
