Arrest for alleged assault, burglary
A Fort Dodge man has been arrested after an alleged assault and burglary that happened back in December.
Nathaniel C. Aldrich, 24, is accused of breaking into an apartment building on Dec. 4, 2011. According to court documents, Aldrich broke a window next to the door in order to get inside the building. The only way into the building is a key, according to the criminal complaint.
Once inside the building, Aldrich went to an apartment where he allegedly pushed and punched a woman in the side of her head, which caused bruising and the victim to get a headache.
Aldrich was arrested Wednesday, and made his initial appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court Thursday morning.
At the hearing, Magistrate William Habhab ordered Aldrich released with supervision to the Department of Corrections. He also issued a no-contact order between Aldrich and the alleged victim.
Aldrich's case was sent to District Court.
